# The Flaws

**Indivisibility**: The Metadata of an NFT makes it impossible to divide it into fractions or bits; they can only be traded and transferred as a whole in contrast to fungible Assets. You can send a friend 0.5 XRP, but you cannot send that friend 0.5 XPUNK NFT, as it must be units of one.

**Un-interchangeability**: NFTs of the same Issuer cannot be interchanged because of their unique metadata. This concept is in contrast to fungible assets where each XRP is interchangeable.
